Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, so we’ve carefully selected materials that are durable, reusable, and as planet-friendly as possible.
Here’s a breakdown of what our roll on case is made from:
- The main bottle and lid are made from aluminium, which is widely recyclable and long-lasting.
- The inner parts of the lid and the rollerball casing are made from polypropylene (PP), 50% of which is PCR (post-consumer recycled plastic).
- The rollerball itself is also PP (polypropylene).
- Inside the rollerball casing, there are two small rubber gaskets made of PE (polyethylene). These help ensure a secure, leak-proof seal.
If ever you are done with your Wild roll on, and don't plan to use it again, here is how you can dispose of it:
We’re all about keeping things as sustainable as possible, and we’ve designed our roll on to be easy to take apart and recycle at home. Here’s how to do it, step-by-step:
1. Separate the case
Unscrew the lid. Then to separate the rollerball casing from the bottom part of the case, gently pull the top and bottom sections apart.
2. Dispose of the refill bottle
Remove the inner refill bottle, give it a quick rinse, and pop it into your home compost (if you have one) or your general waste bin. (It's made of biodegradable materials!)
3. Take the lid apart
Use the end of a teaspoon (or something similarly small) to press in the small side tabs on the outside of the lid. This will loosen the plastic insert inside the lid. Once loose, pull it out.
4. Recycle the lid components
The plastic part of the lid can be recycled with plastics at home. The outer aluminium lid goes with your metal/can recycling.
5. Pop out the rollerball
Flip the rollerball casing over and use your thumb to push the rollerball out from the inside. Give the rollerball and plastic casing a rinse, then recycle both with plastics at home.
6. Recycle the aluminium base
The bottom metal part can go straight into your home metal/can recycling bin. And that’s it! 🌍
A few simple steps and you’ve done your bit to give every piece a proper second life, nice work! Washing/rinsing the parts before recycling helps keep your local recycling stream clean and effective, so we do recommend it.
