Here is a guide on whether each of our products are suitable for sensitive skin. You can also check out our ingredients here.
Stick Deodorant
The regular stick deodorant has been formulated to be suitable for a wide range of skin types. We use minimal quantities of bicarbonate of soda and plenty of moisturising ingredients to soothe and nourish the skin.
If you're interested in Wild Stick deodorant but a bit worried about a reaction, we'd recommend starting out with the scent Coconut & Vanilla as this is the most gentle.
If you're interested in Wild Stick deodorant and know you are prone to reactions or have very sensitive skin, you should check out the Sensitive Skin range which you can select on the website:
Our sensitive range has a special formulation of ingredients which leaves you dry, smelling good, and best of all, not irritated! These are the ingredients in the refill - in bold you see the team of ingredients which replace the actions of the bicarbonate of soda in the regular range, which is the most common culprit in reaction cases:
- Caprylic/Capric Glycerides
-
Oryza Sativa Starch (Rice Starch)
- This absorbs sweat
- Tapioca Starch
- Stearyl Alcohol
- Triethyl Citrate
- Cocos Nucifera Oil (Coconut Oil)
- Helianthus Annuus Seed Wax (Sunflower Seed Wax)
- Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter (Cacao Butter)
- Butyrospermum Parkii Butter (Shea Butter)
-
Magnesium Hydroxide
- This combats odour-causing bacteria
- Parfum
-
Zinc Ricinoleate
- This has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties
- Tocopheryl Acetate
If ever your skin reacts, we’d recommend you stop using it right away.
We have conducted specific tests for our sensitive range in the scents: Coconut & Vanilla, Fresh Cotton, Cherry Blossom, hence these ones are dermatologically tested. This will become the standard moving forward for sensitive skin scent ranges.
We have not conducted this sensitive skin testing for our standard deodorant stick range (with bicarbonate of soda).
Roll On Antiperspirant
Yes!
Our antiperspirant has been dermatologically tested for both normal and sensitive skin types.
Roll On Deodorant
Our roll on formula has been designed to be gentle and effective for most skin types.
However, the current roll on contains a higher percentage of fragrance than our deodorant stick, and while reactions are rare, a small number of customers with very sensitive or allergy-prone skin have experienced irritation.
Because of this, if you know you have particularly reactive skin, we recommend either sticking with our deodorant stick (which has been loved by many with sensitivities), or performing a patch test with our roll on before regular use. To do a patch test, simply apply a small amount to a clear patch of skin and wait 24 hours to check for any reaction.
As always, if you’re unsure or need tailored advice, our team is just a message away and happy to help. We're also looking to improve and expand our testing processes, and specific dermatological testing is something we’re exploring for the future to give even more peace of mind.
A sensitive version of our roll on is something we're definitely exploring behind the scenes. While we don’t have a confirmed launch date just yet, it’s on our radar and we're working to bring it to life in the future.
Please note this range has been discontinued in the UK, EU and AUS.
Body Wash
The body wash range has been developed with 95% natural ingredients and it designed to be as nourishing as possible.
The body washes are dermatologically tested and deemed suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skins but if you do have sensitive skin, we recommend patch testing before full use to avoid any widespread reactions.
If your skin reacts, we’d recommend you stop using it right away.
Hand Wash
We have not currently done any specific dermatological testing on these products so we cannot assure the hand washes are suitable for sensitive skins. We recommend a patch test, and to discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Lip Balm & Tinted
We have not currently done any specific dermatological testing on these products so we cannot assure the lip balms are suitable for sensitive skins. We recommend a patch test, and to discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Soap & Exfoliating Bars
We have not currently done any specific dermatological testing on these products so we cannot assure the soaps and exfoliating bars are suitable for sensitive skins. We recommend a patch test, and to discontinue use if irritation occurs.
As ever with cosmetic products however, we do recommend patch testing before use to confirm this product works well with you!
To do a patch test, simply apply a small amount to a clear patch of skin and wait 24 hours to check for any reaction.
