What is the case made of?
For both case 1.0 and 2.0 designs, the main body is made from aluminium, and the pump section is made from a blend of post consumer recycled plastic and virgin plastic.
For case 3.0, the design is exactly the same as 2.0, however the whole piece is made from a blend of post consumer recycled plastic and virgin plastic.
- Why not 100% recycled plastic?
Recycled plastic can be quite brittle and easily worn down, so we have not made the whole pump from this to boost the durability (i.e. mixing in some virgin plastic with the recycled plastic helps keep that pump tough and less likely to break with use/wear and tear).
How to dispose of the case?
Should your time with Wild come to an end, you can recycle both cases at home by separating the metal parts from the plastic parts to allow for mono-material recycling.
For case 1.0, separate the base and the top and pop in metal recycling. The remaining pump can go in plastic recycling
For case 2.0, separate the base and the top pump part. The base goes in metal recycling.. For the top section, use press in the small side tabs, using a small utensil to help, to separate the metal shell from the plastic pump and put each part in the relevant recycling.
For case 3.0, it's simply all plastic recycling!
