What is the refill made of?
The refills are made from a signature bio-based material, Vivomer, which is made from compostable material, conventional plastic-free, and contains no microplastics.
Here are some headline facts about the Vivomer material:
Conventional plastic free - made from natural, biodegradable materials with no fossil-based plastics.
Compostable material -certified by TUV Austria to break down in compost within 52 weeks.
Shelf stable + zero waste - durable in everyday use, then fully biodegradable in industrial compost, marine environments, and even landfill.
No microplastics - completely breaks down into natural elements (water + CO₂).
No petrochemicals - no petrochemical derivatives, dyes, or pigments.
How to dispose of the refill?
To dispose of simply pop in the compost bin if you have one, or in the general waste.
Please note this is NOT a recyclable material. As a novel material, this will likely not be accepted by most recycling depots!
